What Your home Looked Like in The 90s
Hey guys! Today is #ThrowbackThursday on the blog and we are definitely travelling a few miles down the path of our most recent past or maybe not so recent, if we find ourselves reminiscing 80s. Today’s post titled- What your home looked like in the 90s, is all about the most priced items that decorated our homes and gave us that extra edge over the next door neighbour, this should be fun!
WOODEN BOX TV
This was definitely an eye popper way back in time! I remember visiting my grandpa on the island and how I was always very excited to seat with him and watch his favourite shows on the black and white box TV. Now that I think of it, it was more than a TV! It added an extra touch of tasteful design to the leaving room. My grandma made ample use of the space on top of the TV-Photo frames, a flower jar and sculpted ceramic artworks.
WOODEN STEREO RECORD PLAYER
This was another grand masterpiece in the design scheme of living rooms way back in the nineties. Sometimes a black and white Tv comes with the set, and at other times it was just the record player with massive speakers on both sides.
WALLPAPER
Even if wallpapers are now a major thing in recent times, you’ll be shocked to find out that wallpapers have a long standing history and they had always been a longstanding choice for wall treatments. Although, the patterns were a little on the busy side, a lot has been revamped about wallpapers in recent times.
FORMICA CENTRE TABLES
You guys definitely remember the Formica centre tables right??? We had a rectangular one in our living room way back in late 90s.
BEADED CURTAINS
Very popular in creating a clear cut demarcation between the dining hall area and living room, this was definitely one trend that was admired for its shimmering glow especially at night when the light bulbs were put on. It was also very popular in a lot of Kitchens!
That’s all we can take today guys, don’t forget to drop your comments or observations in the comment section below, we always love to hear from you
