5 Must Visit African Resorts, that’s our topic for today. Welcome to another post on our African Corner series where we get to discuss lots of amazing topics spanning our African culture, aesthetics and style.
Last week, we discussed 5 African Celebrity Homes We Love, were we featured lots of pictures of some of our favorite celebrity houses. Some other celebrities who we really dig were missing from the list because pictures of their houses weren’t available online.
This week, this post will feature 5 Must Visit African Resorts that are absolutely breathtaking and like the topic says, is a MUST VISIT spot. Check them out!
Lake Mayanra Tree Lodge, Tanzania:
The first on our list is the Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, which offers an exclusive interpretive safari in a remote, game-rich wilderness. It overlooks a forest boma, has an outdoor dining area and its rivers are lined with traditional dugout canoes. Local artworks and tactile fabrics are sold to guests too.
Guests can be found enjoying a plethora of delicious dishes that are enjoyed in the theatrical boma or on the open dining decks, with spectacular forest views.
The rooms are characterized by high ceilings, spaciousness and natural lighting. The bathroom feature wooden counters, doors and is very eco-friendly.
Masai Mara Sopa Lodge, Kenya:
Wanna know the reason why its gardens and trees are so lush and mature? That’s cos it was one of the first safari lodges to be built in the Masai Mara Game Reserve.The architecture of this place is such that its swimming pool is in the center, surrounded by buildings constructed in design of traditional African round houses with conical roofs. One is sure to have a romance with nature should you ever holiday here.
Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, Zimbabwe:
A few kilometers from the famous Victoria falls, the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is built on a plateau overlooking the Zambezi national park. This is definitely an ideal summer destination.
Chobe Game Lodge, Botswana:
OMG the views here are so beautiful. Chobe Game Lodge, set on the banks of the famous Chobe River is a five-star, fully Ecotourism-certified safari lodge.
Tourists and guests who come here get to explore the diversity of Botswana’s Chobe National Park with the aid of a tour guide both on land and water. The beauty of this place speaks for itself through the pictures.
Tintswalo Safari Lodge, SA:
Tintswalo Safari Lodge has the heart of anyone who has visited primarily for this reason- hospitality. It is beautifully positioned in the Manyeleti, a private Kruger reserve just north of the Sabi Sands. The resort boasts of the most hospitable staff who try as much as possible to build a personal relationship with guests while being very ethical.

Why you need a Juicer this Holiday? Well, that’s because the holiday season is around the corner and juices for both young and old will be a constant in every meal. With the growing awareness surrounding health and fitness, people are now more inclined to take their health much more seriously by substituting juices for sodas and artificially flavored drinks. With the manual, juice is extracted by pressing or grinding a halved citrus along a juicer’s ridged conical center and discarding the rind while the electrical reamer automatically turns the ridged center when fruit is pressed upon. This type of juicer is great for making orange juices or lemonade.

Centrifugal Juicers:
Centrifugal juicers are perfect for making the best vegetable juices. Due to the nature of vegetables, it can be quite hard to extract the juice when blended. This is not the case when using a centrifugal blender. The vegetable you want to make a juice out of is put in the centrifuge, cut up and afterwards it spins it at a very fast speed which separates the juice from the pulp. Ushering in the new year to some people is a lot more than just making wishes and new year resolutions. Lots of people go all out to give their homes a new look at the beginning of every year. Clean

Towards the last quarter of every year, interior design experts across the globe come together to make predictions about possible design trends that would rock the coming year. It’s that time of the year again. 2018 is less than 100 days away and design experts have started making their predictions. SPACE magazine’s Adeyinka Odutuyo shares the trends to look out for in 2018.
What’s new?
One major interior design trend that rocked spaces in 2017 is the 3D PATTERNED WALLS. This chic design for walls is an extended version of the wall paper design that made a comeback in 2015 and rocked 2016. Experts are saying the wall paper trend isn’t completely out of style, but the 3D patterned wall is gaining momentum in the design industry. This design is sure to make its way into 2018 as a lot of space users are still lagging behind.
Marble table tops and counter-tops; especially in shades of white and light grey continue to trend as they are still defining spaces in 2017.
Glitter walls are OVER!!!
You heard that right. The use of glitter on walls was an interesting way to breathe life into walls that had seemingly been dead or just appeared painfully boring. Thanks to wall paper and an extended version of wall papers, glitters just don’t do the trick anymore. If you are looking to revamp your wall with glitters, the glitz days are over!

Designers predict that in 2018 messages would seep deeper into our homes. To be honest this is already a trend in a lot of homes. However, American design expert Michell Gage says on Realtor.com “It’ll become increasingly popular, given the way we all communicate on social media. It will remain more of a complement to a room’s story and live on in smaller finishing touches like pillows and art,”
